My apologies, if this is not in the correct forum.
I am doing a little calculating on whether it is cheaper to buy a whole turkey and ground up the meat or just buy ground turkey from whole foods. I was wondering if you guys had any idea of how much the turkey meat weighs minus the bone. I would like to get a turkey and do this but I need to figure out if it is economically feasible for us at this time. For example, if I bought a 15 lb. turkey, what percentage would you guess is meat and what is bone? Thanks for any help on this
